Today, December 21st, 2020, is winter solstice. On this day, the sun is at its lowest point in the sky giving us the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Like many occasions, there are several ways of observing the winter solstice. In its period of darkness, the winter solstice is an opportunity to go inward with deep intention, to care for our spiritual selves, our bodies and minds, our loved ones and families, and to prepare for the longer days ahead.

A very challenging year is soon coming to an end and in the spirit of self and community care, Indigenous Tourism Ontario would like to celebrate the strength and successes of our people; and wish our members nothing but rest, relaxation, and health in the year to come.

From all of us at ITO, we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful winter solstice celebration and a safe and festive holiday season.

A friendly reminder that the ITO office will be closed from Monday, December 21st and will reopen on Monday, January 4th. We look forward to connecting with you very soon!
