Job Description – Project Coordinator: Indigenous Ingenuity, Northern Tour
Indigenous Tourism Ontario and Science North are currently looking for a Coordinator for the Indigenous Ingenuity Northern Tour, a 100m2 travelling exhibition produced by the Montreal Science Centre that allows visitors to experience Indigenous culture in Canada through the lens of science and innovation.
Working side-by-side with the Science North team, you will be responsible for locating and reaching out to as many communities as possible across Northern Ontario, for the purpose of arranging for the Exhibit tour stops over the course of two years. You will also lay the groundwork for ongoing relationships between the communities and Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) and Science North. You will have the opportunity to work alongside Indigenous tourism outfitters, identifying and aligning offerings to pair with the northern tour. Experience working with Indigenous communities is a must.
You will also work with ITO’s membership and marketing teams, helping to establish long-term relationships between ITO and new communities. This position acts as an important liaison between ITO and Science North on this project.
