Indigenous Ingenuity
2023, 2024 | Product Development, Workforce Development
The Indigenous Ingenuity Northern Tour is a project that ITO and Science North collaborated on that began in 2022 and will continue until the end of 2024. It is a pan-northern travelling exhibit, which is a mini version of the Indigenous Ingenuity exhibit hosted at the Ontario Science Centre. This exhibit was originally hosted at the Montreal Science Centre, and ITO assisted in bringing the exhibit and subsequent tour to Ontario. This exhibition presents a clever and novel mix of science and culture intended to stir a sense of pride among First Nation, Inuit and Métis communities and celebrate the diversity, interconnectedness, and resourceful ways of knowing and being, that Indigenous knowledge and innovations provide in the global community.
