ITO markets and brands the Indigenous tourism industry on a global scale, and assists members with marketing and branding their own products.
The Summer Solstice Festival North Drone Show was flown on Manitoulin Island in 2021, while the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation was held in Sault Ste. Marie in 2022.
ITO All-Stars Cup
On March 13-17, 2023 Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) was onsite at the Little Native Hockey League tournament hosted by Nipissing First Nation launching the inaugural ITO All Stars Cup.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
ITO was honoured to present the Weekend for Truth and Reconciliation in Sault Ste. Marie on September 30 & October 1, 2022.
Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
Indigenous Tourism Ontario sponsored the Royal Agricultural Winter Fairs Origins Day, where ITO had 8 Indigenous Chefs complete interactive chef-led culinary sessions to groups of 30 Royal attendees.
Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Games
The Toronto Maple Leaf Alumni Game took place in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island on October 29th, 2022 hosted by Wiikwemkoong Tourism.
Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators Games
Through partnership with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, ITO supported the Maple Leaf Indigenous Celebration Games, bringing 100 Indigenous attendees to the game, and sponsoring three suites donated to the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto and Hockey Equality.
